Description minashokry 2008-11-29 12:19:07 UTC
After I upgraded from Netbeans 6.1 to 6.5 and working for some time I saw some features stopped working without reasons!!
two things I found till now
1 - CTRL + / stopped performing toggle comment action, CTRL + SHIFT + C, CTRL + SHIFT + T and CTRL + SHIFT + D also
don't work.
some other shortcuts still work, like ALT + SHIFT + F.
I haven't changed any settings since installtion and I can see these shortcuts still assigned in Options dialog!!

2 - insert closing bracket also stopped working although its checkbox still checked.

this occurs while normally working with the IDE. I mean I may press CTRL + / and it works and after a while same
shortcut doesn't work and inserting closing bracket stops at same time.

Assigning new shortcuts, creating new profile, restarting the IDE.... all did nothing

the only solution that works is to delete ~/.netbeans directory and restarting the IDE but again these problems occur.
this happened with me on two different machines.

Another problem I notice and don't know if it is related is that
after running any java application IDE stops receiving input from keyboard until it receives any input from mouse (for
example, just opening a menu and closing it again)..
but I notice this from NetBeans 6.0.

If there is a way to reproduce on my machine I am willing to investigate. Otherwise I am closing as worksforme.
