I just downloaded the NetBeans IDE 6.5 and create a stand-alone application, a module and a wrapper module. When I
changed the display name of the modules, this was reflected in the project tab for the suite module only. The other
modules changed their names in the project tab only after reloading the modules.

reproducible, when you change Display name of module then it isn't changed in Projects view -> reassigning

Not into 7.0 or next release. Feel free to reopen if more important than it seems.
