Rather than having a custom cache implementation, it would be better to use NbPreferences, which does standard asynch
flushing and so on.

Currently not an option because *.properties files written that way have no ordering. Need for NbPreferences to use
EditableProperties.

This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
