Description brynjargles 2008-11-12 18:03:33 UTC
The namespace is part of our strategy for supporting multiple versions of the same service. I've not been able to find
support in NetBeans to refactor the namespace for BPEL processes, XSDs or WSDLs (only for the name). Since changes to
the namespace in one file requires changes in potentially lots of other files, this is a daunting and error prone task.
Hence tool support when changing a namespace would be extremely valuable.

It is common task for any XML model (schema, wsdl, bpel and so on).
Reassigning to XML

Vladimir, I've reassigned it to you.
Comment 6 Vladimir Yaroslavskiy 2009-08-14 12:07:43 UTC
Too complex and too risky feature: for next release.
Comment 7 Sergey Lunegov 2009-08-14 12:57:28 UTC
Next release is Ok

Comment 9 brynjargles 2009-08-17 10:04:43 UTC
This is not a duplicate of issue 158235.

Issue 158235 covers cleaning up unused namespaces, whereas this issue covers changing the namespace of a BPEL, WSDL or
XSD and having this change reflected in all the other files that are dependent on the file with the changed namespace
(probably with some review functionality to allow deciding which files should be affected)
Comment 10 Vladimir Yaroslavskiy 2009-08-17 10:14:01 UTC
I see, so the part of removing unused namespaces in BPEL (158235) - will be implemented in this release,
full refactoring of namespaces - later.
