Try the following:

type os.w and then try to complete.  The first entry, "wait" has documentation which appears under the completion list.
 Now type another letter to narrow the list, say "a", or "i".  The documentation pane remains on screen but is now
detached from the list of completions.  Screenshot attached.

Not sure it is still relevant with the current version. AFAIK we don't display docstring any more. Closing this as old bug. If this is still a thing, please reopen and accept my apologies.
