Keymap dialog UI needs improvements on GTK L&F
Comment 1 Petr Dvorak 2008-10-23 07:40:49 UTC
IMO it needs improvements on any L&F...
Comment 2 Max Sauer 2008-10-23 07:59:00 UTC
Joshis, could you please be more specific? Thanks.
Comment 3 Petr Dvorak 2008-10-23 08:10:28 UTC
Well, I did so on "jupiter" (EditorTechnologyQualityFor70) - I think that I will just briefly summarize the problems by
quoting myself:

> In general, keymap panel (Tools>Options>Keymap) is very hard to be used (issue 123467). You cannot determine which
> module registers which action sometimes (issue 148748, issue 150905, ...), it is not possible to search actions by name
> nor by assigned shortcuts (issue 123467), actions names sometimes do not precisely describe what actions do
> (issue 140543), export/printing of assigned shortcuts was requested too (issue 126123), for example...

When someone asks me, where he/she can find something in NB, I usually know, except for a shortcut/action in keymap panel.

I think this might be actually a duplicate of issue 123467... duplicating...

I am a retard... Do not mind me...
Comment 5 Svata Dedic 2012-11-30 09:43:14 UTC
Issues referred to in comment #3 are now fixed. It's not important what module registered which shortcut, but what scope it is - in which area it can be used. Category is now displayed, so I believe the request was satisfied.
