Description Roman Mostyka 2008-10-06 11:24:40 UTC
1. Start NetBeans 6.1.
2. Add MySQL server with all necessary parameters and check "Remember Password" checkbox.
3. Close NetBeans 6.1, start NetBeans 6.5 and import NetBeans 6.1 settings.
4. Try to connect to MySQL server.

Result: Error message appears that IDE unable to connect to the server with specified password.
Workaround: Open "Properties" and change passsword to the correct one.

This is borderline P4, as the workaround is so easy and it only happens once. Please justify why this should be in the
patch release.
Comment 2 Roman Mostyka 2008-10-29 12:35:54 UTC
If it is P4, then it shouldn't.
I just marked all P2 and some annoying P3 issues as candidates and I was going to discuss them on I-Team.
As for this issue, so migration from previous version of NetBeans can be inconvenient (for example if customer forgot
password).
If you think that justification isn't enough, then please remove status whiteboard.
