We have our test data committed to a subversion repository, no code, only test data. When I want to check out the test data I go to Versioning->Checkout, enter the URL to the repository and find my test data. When the test data are checked out, Netbeans ask me if I want to create an IDE project from the checked-out sources. 1. If I answer yes, what kind of project do I pick? I can't find a proper project type for the data I checked out. 2. If I answer no, the data will be available on my file system, but I'm not able to synchronize them since I haven't created a project for it, and hence not available in Netbeans (other from Favorites, but I can't synchronize from there).
It is actually possible to synchronize from Favorites, so I change this issue to a feature to be able to create a Netbeans project that can contain test data.
Reassigning to projects.
hardly ever going to happen. I'm not sure what you need a project type for, it would boil down to creating a project for any random folder on the filesystem.
I agree. Let's change status to won't fix
