Seen with NB 6.1 + patch 3 on Windows Vista: 1. Open a valid WSDL document in the treeview WSDL editor. 2. Rt click on Port Types and choose Add Port Type. 3. Click Add for the fault. => An error message is shown: "Name "" is not a valid NCName.", even though the part is shown to have the name "part1". Changing the part name to any other valid name results in the same error, and the Finish button does not become available. This is marked P2, because the error prevents the new port from being created. Workaround is to use another user interface.
Correction: "OK" button is never available. This dialog does not have a "finish" button.
Just realized that the error refers to the fault name, which is indeed blank. The error should be more specific about what is being referred to, and/or the focus should move from the part just added to the fault name field to give the user an indicate of what to change.
Changed target milestone.
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue. Thanks for your cooperation, NetBeans IDE 8.2 Release Boss
