I can't see the jpg ok - can it be reattached ?

some questions

what locale/regional setting are you in when running netbeans ?
what is the project encoding property of your project ?
how are the Chinese characters entered - directly into ide or from
imported file from elsewhere ?

is the problem that the characters don't show ok in editor, or at output

window or in compilation ? please list the steps you are doing.

please provide as much information as possible about this.

besides other questions below, also if you create java project,
for example, and type those characters into java editor,
is it the same problem ?

and can you look at editor font options and change to
some other fonts to see if its ok with some other fonts ?

It's the same result under java coding. But one thing I want to tell, I'm using the ruby code template plugin, applied
from the update of netbeans, can download from URL:http://mediacast.sun.com/share/tor/org-netbeans-modules-ruby-
themes.nbm. It's ok in netbeans code template that typing chinese.

passing to editor, it seems to be general, anyway i think this can be closed.

So, with the nbm installed the chinese characters are not displayed correctly, but without the nbm they are?

AFAICT the nbm only contains font & color definitions. It sets 'Monaco' font as the default editor font. This is likely
to be the problem. Please let Tor Norbey know about the problem. In the meantime you can go to Tools-Options -> Fonts &
Colors -> Syntax and change the font value for 'All Languages', category 'Default'. I'm not sure what font to choose,
but the default one in the default Netbeans theme is 'Monospaced'.
