Duplicate of something, caused by problem in JDK 1.6 xml processor, the issue is already fixed. Update your JDK 1.6 Anyway can you attach the nbproject/project.xml file?
As far as I am aware, I am at the latest version of the JDK (I have autoupdate switched on) I will attach the project.xml, however remember this error is occurring when I am trying to create the project so there is not a lot in it

I have now updated to the latest JDK, appernetly the autoupdate had not run since the beginning of the month I am now getting "Project folder already exists and is not empty" message This happens no matter what I call the project
Created attachment 68648 [details] messages.log again
I still cannot create a project
Looks very similar to Issue 140905 which is fixed in latest development builds. Could you please try the latest dev build? http://bits.netbeans.org/netbeans/trunk/nightly/latest
Agreed, this is the same as 140905. I have downloaded the latest build and it seems ok now I will close the bug *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 140905 ***
