This issue found in trunk build from 2008-08-13. This issue doesn't present in beta build from 2008-08-12. Steps to reproduce: 1. Create Java application. 2. Create Purchase Order sample schema. 3. Start creating XML Document, select XML Schema Constrained Document. 4. Select Browse in the wizard and navigate to the Purchase Order schema under "By File" branch. 5. Set the root element to purchaseOrder, next, finish. IDE will hang up. I can't say "forever" but 10 minutes passed without any visible progress so I killed process. Reproduced on Windows XP and MacOS platforms.
Trunk Build 200808120201 looks good as well, so this issue come with last day changes.
Do you have a thread dump? In general when you hit a hang-like situation, it is always a good idea to have the thread dump. Also are you able to reproduce this consistently or just happened randomly?
It appears each time. I think you can create dump easy while trying to reproduce. If no -- I can do so.
I know I can create dumps, but I'll have to either install the build or make a fresh local build for that and that will take some time. It is a good QE practice to file an issues with dumps/logs when necessary. And in this case, it is necessary. Also be clear as much as possible? I see that you made version=5.0. Did you mean that?
I have to install as well after check on previous build. As for version -- I don't know, I did not set 5.0 :) Set correct one.
