Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200808120201) Java: 1.5.0_15; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_15-b04 System: Linux version 2.6.24-19-generic running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb) Userdir: /tmp/ud ------------ - Create project P1 (main) - Create project P2 (not main) - put P2 into context - Run | Set project configuration | Customize --> you are customizing config of main project P1 This violates UI spec: http://wiki.netbeans.org/MainProjectConceptualChange The configurations chooser will be available for all projects, yet disabled for those which do not make use of it. Further, it will work with current project (as opposed to current state where it works with main project)
Milane, you were/are working on this?
The spec is probably not precise, but I have clarified with Jano Rojcek that is there is main project set the configuration changes will be applied to the main project. It also complies with other actions that are sensitive to current project only if main project is not set. Closing as wontfix.
the project menu should change when there 1, is main project. Set Main Project Configuration 2, isn't main project. Set Project Configuration (project-name) look at http://wiki.netbeans.org/MainMenuFor65 and http://wiki.netbeans.org/MainMenu#section-MainMenu-Run
OK, but this is different issue than originally reported.
I'm afraid 6.5 will have to live with this one...
I think that this is P4 issue.
Change of default owner.
Changing issue type to ENHANCEMENT.
