Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200807300201) Java: 1.6.0_10-rc; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 11.0-b14 System: Windows Vista version 6.0 running on x86; Cp1250; cs_CZ (nb) Especially when there are many output tabs it is bothersome to click exactly on cross to close each tab. In addition almost every application today(including netbeans' own editor) includes middle mouse button closable tabs. To not support this feature seems anachronistic.

Note that editor tabs already can be closed by middle-mouse-click. Not having this feature for e.g. output tabs even feels inconsistent. Btw., you might want to see http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=74018 for a patch which enabled closing editor tabs by middle-click.
