A selectable property that saves the files in Unix mode (CR) or NT (CR+LF) mode

[Janne] And Mac (LF) and No conversion (for binary files).

Actually I didn't. I've talked with Editor people about that - they
perform their own logic on CR/LF delimiters when loading the content
into the document and writing it out.
Moreover we couldn't find a reasonable UI offhand and it was just
before UI freeze that time. Do you think we can add a couple of
actions to text files (convert to -> UNIX/DOS/MAC) ?

Issue for utilities or text module!? ... they could add Tools->Convert
CR/LF to each objects that offers EditorCookie?

This issue was solved long time ago. Because nobody has reopened it neither
added comments, we are verifying/closing it now. 
If you are still able to reproduce the problem, please reopen.
