Description Maksim Khramov 2008-07-10 14:26:19 UTC
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200807100006)
Java: 1.6.0_07; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 10.0-b23

Create Eclipse workspace and import external project to it (Do not check copy project checkbox).

Try to Import projects from workspace to NetBeans. No project shown.
Comment 1 David Konecny 2008-07-13 22:38:23 UTC
Could this be related to whether Eclipse workspace was saved or not? If you close Eclipse (will cause workspace data to
be saved) will NB import succeed? I know that for example defining a new VARIABLE in Eclipse and using it in a project
and importing that project to NB will issue a warning that "variable value cannot be found" - value of variable is saved
during workspace save. Might be unrelated though.

This is WORKSFORME. Could you please give me exact steps how to reproduce? Also test please on both Ganymede and Europa.
Thanks.
Comment 3 Maksim Khramov 2008-07-17 14:49:08 UTC
I have two separate Eclipse workspaces A and B.
Import existed project from workspace B (e.g ProjectB )to workspace A. (Do not check 'Copy project')

Open Netbeans and try to import projects from A workspace. ProjectB is not listed.
Comment 4 David Konecny 2008-07-17 21:04:00 UTC
I'm using this setup as well with the exception that ProjectB is outside of both workspaces. Looks to me like a
"feature" of eclipse - if a project is in a workspaceA and is being added to workspaceB treat it differently and that's
why it is not offered for import.

Could you please verify that a project which is external to workspaces is recognized and can be imported? Thanks. -D
Comment 5 Maksim Khramov 2008-07-18 11:13:23 UTC
External to workspaces project recognized and imported.
Comment 6 David Konecny 2008-07-20 20:53:39 UTC
No plan to fix this for now - more of a corner case.
Comment 7 Martin Balin 2016-07-07 08:39:14 UTC
This old bug may not be relevant anymore. If you can still reproduce it in 8.2 development builds please reopen this issue.
