NetBeans DEV - now tell me which one is original and which one is clone? [Don't mind the red badges, they are there due to some missing libs...] (3.14 KB, image/png)

Description Petr Dvorak 2008-06-09 10:30:49 UTC
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200806090002)
Java: 1.6.0_06; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 10.0-b22
System: Linux version 2.6.24-19-generic running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb)

1. Create some Java Application and import it to Hg repository.
2. Select the project in the projects view and click Versioning > Clone - <project>.
3. Set some clone name (different from the project name) and confirm the dialog.
-> The project name is not displayed correctly in the projects view
-> File structure seems to be OK though...

makes no sense
Comment 2 Petr Dvorak 2008-06-13 19:17:11 UTC
I really don't understand the comment "makes no sense". Does it mean you don't understand the description and it makes
no sense to you;)? Well, in that case you should ask, not just close the issue - reopened.

Maybe the problem is in me and I have misunderstood something (I missed some setting, for example), but in that case you
didn't give me too much explanatory feedback.

I will put it simple: cloned project has a wrong name displayed in the project view. See the screenshot from 6.1 final
(imho corrent) and from the DEV version (imho incorrect).

The current behavior "makes no sense" as you are unable to distinguish between original and cloned project... But if it
is as designed, just close it again, but previous behavior was much better (added ppis to CC for evaluation).

Ups - I knew it... The screenshots are switched... but you will understand it, you are smart guys;o)...

Sorry for the inconvenience...
Comment 6 Tomas Stupka 2008-06-13 19:38:50 UTC
it is still the same project, changing the name makes no sense.
you were asking for the label -> duplicate.

thanks for your help!
