This is random, but if you start up NetBeans (doesn't have to be a clean userdir, but it helps), and open
Services/Databases, the JavaDB node and the MySQL node are not there.  Hard to reproduce consistently.

I haven't seen this at all lately, and nobody else has reported it, so I'm closing for now.
