Description:

properties of string type like Display Name Code, Short Description Code etc. could be automatically inserted with
quotation marks from designer into code. Now user has to write string property together with then to avoid compilation
errors.

The reason you have to type quotations is that the field accepts whatever java expression not just plain text. But I
agree there should be better customizer. Something like in the form module where are plain text/resource bundle/custom
code customizers.
