Inconsistent size of control elements on Nimbus L&F (in Tools -> Options -> Fonts & Colors -> Syntax). For description, see the attached image.
Created attachment 60195 [details] inconsistent size of control elements
It looks more consistent on my Ubuntu/Gnome. The combobox arrow controls have the same with. The only wider control is the '...' button for changing fonts. Are these issues problems in Nimbus on Solaris or in Netbeans? I would say Solaris/Nimbus is at fault if things look normal on other OSes...
> Are these issues problems in Nimbus on Solaris or in Netbeans? Hard to say without knowing the implementation. But it seems the "..." button is non-standard size (both width and height) on both windows and solaris, so I'd guess we have something to do with it. > I would say Solaris/Nimbus is at fault if things look normal on > other OSes... In many cases yes, but not necessarily. Some things may be wrong with NetBeans even though they look OK on other OSes. Some nimbus L&F elements (e.g. editor tabs, etc ..) are implemented in NetBeans.
It's fixed in #216013
