Description senthilprabhu 2008-04-05 10:57:42 UTC
When the BPEL Diagram is huge, the PartnerLinks overlap the BPEL diagram

Attached is the picture in which the PartnerLink is seen over the BPEL Activities

Overlapping PLs
Comment 2 Sergey Lunegov 2008-04-07 08:11:30 UTC
They do not overlap. The PLs and other activities are in different areas.
Comment 3 Sergey Lunegov 2008-04-07 09:36:31 UTC
Forgot to mention that such behavior is by design.
Comment 4 senthilprabhu 2008-04-09 06:53:21 UTC
I should have been clearer in my description
* I do agree that the PLs and activities should be and are in different locations

What I wanted to tell was that "When the diagram was huge, the PLs and BPEL activities are seen to overlap and this
should not happen"

The attached picture shows that the PLs are overlapping the Bpel Activities and this SHOULD NOT HAPPEN.

Hope I made myself clear this time

Senthil, you mean that this behavior (or, more correctly put, visualization) confuses the user?

Could you be a little bit more specific in describing the cause, as you see it? Is it in the fact that the "swim-lanes"
where partner links reside are translucent? Would making them opaque fix the wrong perception?

Thanks!
Kirill

Also, FWIW, I filed two follow-up issues inspired by your screenshot: issue 132320 and issue 132324. Thanks for that as
well.. ;)

Senthil,

I got your point. My point is that making activities translucent when they go to the area of partnerlinks.
It makes diagram more readable in comparison when we make such activities invisible.
In previous approach such activities looked like cut and it wasn't good.
Having this approach we also resolve other issues.

The summary: it was made by design.
