Create new project. 2. Create new package structure "a.b" in it. Each package contains java class file. Checkin them. 3. Create new package structure "c" in it. Create java class file in it. Checkin them. 4. Select "c" in "Projects" view and invoke "Refactor" action. Enter "a.c" as a new name for it. Proceed with the dialog. AE is thrown.

i'm sorry, but can't reproduce.
Steps: 1. Switch to "Files" view. 2. Select some package "a/b" (with classes) and drag&drop into another package. 3. Proceed with refactoring for renaming class in packages. AE is thrown.

And it seems that it has another effect. New classes are not shown in "Projects", "Files" tab for such folders.
