There should be a way to make it so the Editor Find Panel is always
there on the editor pane.

As it is now, the user has to do something special to get it to appear:
CTL-F, Edit->Find, etc. And if the user does anything else on the UI,
the Find Panel disappears!

Why not allow the user to "pin" this panel so its always there?

Ultimately, it would also be great if I could "float" this panel,
i.e. have it in its own window. It suppose it would have to
operate only on the current editor tab.

(While we're at it, it would be great if Find were in the Editor's
Context Menu!)

Thanks for the ideas. I'm not sure about the popup menu, it tends to be quite long for most file types and adding
something so basic will only clutter it. Just my opinion. :-)
