Speaking to TextMate users at various Rails conferences, one thing really holding them back from switching to NetBeans is the lack of a TextMate keymap.
This is the biggest barrier blocking rails developers from using netbeans. The problem is that many rails developers work on teams that practice pair programming. It's tough to pair program when developers cannot share workstations. Having common key bindings across the team is a must and if most developers are using textmate, without textmate keybindings, we'll all have to use textmate.
I'd be interested to pair with someone to write a crude script to export the users current textmate keybinding and map it into a netbeans mapping file if anyone fancies a couple of hours on this with me?
