The entries in the Surround with and Insert code lists should have a shortcut starting with 1-9 and then moving on to A-Z. Pressing the key for the shortcut should immediately activate that action. As the lists in these functions will grow, such a shortcut would be very appreciated. Check IntelliJ IDEA for how they implemented it.
Thanks
Related to issue #126363.
I would suggest that code templates entries in "Surround with..." for shortcuts leave same own code template abbreviation keys, so would be handily, with same key sequence insert code templates by Tab (or other expand key) and wrap selected text by Alt-Enter, after all abbreviations can be short, why not use the same in both cases. I use NB for client side programing, and miss such functionality for quick coding. "Surround with..." popup could has auto filtering as you type, like standard completion window. Thanking You in Anticipation
