NNTP sites are not currently being updated with Sun. It's possible that the data is not being pushed to them, or it's not being propogated correctly with Sun. Please check to verify that the data is being sent. I've opened an internal ticket to verify things are happening correctly on the Sun side. Sun ticket #1583705
Internal Collabnet issues SC60, PCN4414
this needs to be investigated by edk. Note: I can connect fine to the server and receive all information up until this moment. Other than sun, we provide Newsfeeds to compaq as well and I know they use this feature alot and I have received no indication that they are having problems. I suspect it is being lost somewhere within Sun. What needs to be checked out is to make sure that the newsfeeds that have been set up are indeed updating and nothing has changed config-wise (which IMHO is unlikely since everything works for me). We must do this check. If the feed is working properly on our side then we can have a reasonable level of confidence that the feed is getting dropped on the Sun side (which Mike Boyer is already following up on).
Ops confirms that the news servers are running without errors. Push scripts remain to be checked.
Received report from developer: evidence here indicates that we are successfully sending out data. However, we can't check on namche.sun.com because it does not configured to accept NNTP clients. In the future, please include more information on how you came to the conclusion that the news feed had problems (Was it the date headers? The number of messages? Particular recent messages which didn't make it there?) so that the developers can test successfully.
Internal target milestone set to ASAP.
We have confirmed that our feed to namche is working correctly; this must be an internal sun problem.
