Description Jan Stola 2001-05-25 15:07:38 UTC
Pilsen build 010521
===================

In the sections
Debugging a Program>Configuring the Debugger>Configuring the Default Debugger
Debugging a Program>Configuring the Debugger>Configuring the JDK 1.1 Debugger
Debugging a Program>Configuring the Debugger>Configuring the Applet Debugger
there is a description of the Classic Switch property:

"Classic Switch - A switch between the classic and HotSpot virtual machines.
Set this value to true if HotSpot is installed."

There is no reason for the advice in the second sentence. One can debug
on Hotspot VM, too. And Solaris users even have to debug on the Hotspot VM,
because they do not have Classic VM.
Comment 1 Unknown 2001-06-06 22:32:02 UTC
Fixed in netbeans 3.2. Removed offending sentence about
Hotspot from appropriate help topics.
Comment 2 Jan Stola 2001-06-19 15:33:02 UTC
I still can see these sentences in Pilsen build 010618.
Comment 3 Patrick Keegan 2001-06-19 15:46:17 UTC
Could it be that this has been fixed in release32 but that the changes have not
yet been merged to pilsen_fcs?
Comment 4 Patrick Keegan 2001-10-05 22:30:00 UTC
fixed in trunk.

Comment 5 Jan Stola 2001-10-12 14:58:22 UTC
Verified in Netbeans build 20011012.
Comment 6 Quality Engineering 2003-07-01 15:25:22 UTC
Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
