Description Jiri Prox 2007-12-04 15:53:16 UTC
Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.0 (Build 200711261600)
Java: 1.6.0_03-ea; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.6.0_03-ea-b01
System: Linux version 2.6.5-1.358 running on i386; UTF-8; en_US (nb)

The behavior of editor status bar during performing invalid instant rename is inconsistent between different OSes.
On Linux the red label "Cannot perform instant rename here" only blinks (sometimes), on Mac is stays visible and on Win
it is never shown.

Steps to reproduce:
1) create new empty class
2) put caret inside its body
3) press ctrl-R
