Hi, every time I try to access the palette window, nothing comes up on the window not even when i am using the simple JFrame form. Any ideas on what to do? thanks jeremy
do you mean that the palette window won't show up or that it's just empty? if the palette is visible but has no content you can try right-clicking the palette window and choose 'reset palette', another option is cleaning your user dir. also keep in mind that palette content is visible only when an editor that supports the palette is active (e.g. html, swing jframe etc)

I use ubuntu 10.04. First i download netbeans with repo (apt-get) everything works fine. However version that comes with repo 6.8. Therefore i decided downloaded latest version(6.9.1) from netbeans directly. And install them manually(I mean run provided install shell in terminal). In my new netbeans(6.9.1) palette window does not popup automatically when i select create JFrame or JPanel moreover anything happens when i clicking palette window in window list at upper bar. In conclusion i can not open palette window in netbeans with installed manually but i can install one with installed with apt-get.
report, pls use menu 'windows - reset windows'. does the palette window shows then?
(In reply to comment #4) > report, pls use menu 'windows - reset windows'. does the palette window shows > then? I have the same problem. I tried 'reset windows', the palette window shows up as a new tab in the Design Area, but doesn't work properly. It can't be opened as a tab. When I try to undock it, it shows for a while and just goes off. Please help me.
the palette window shows only when form designer window is activated. if you switch to source code editor or close the form designer window, then the palette window closes automatically.
