Throwing a java.util.nullpointerexception when adding any new project.  Cannot comple, build or run code.  When I try 
to shut down the IDE, it does not quit.

could you copy the exception's stacktrace here? Or attach your message.log from <USERDIR>/var/log where userdir path is
shown in Help > About dialog. thanks

and reopen the issue with needful message log.
