Description dynamite 2007-10-23 11:02:13 UTC
[ BUILD # : 200710221200 ]
[ JDK VERSION : 1.6.0_02 ]

Sometimes the IDE hangs when I swap project groups. When this
happens I end up having to restart the IDE. I am then left with a
project group that is empty and have to re-add my projects. Project
groups ought to stay populated following an unexpected IDE restart.

Comment 2 Milos Kleint 2007-10-23 12:16:09 UTC
The probable source of the problem is either a deadlock or race condition somewhere in group switching.
in order to fix the issue, we need you to provide a thread dump. or reliable steps to reproduce.
Comment 3 dynamite 2007-10-23 12:35:48 UTC
See issue 119734 for a stack trace. I think I've marked this as a duplicate of 118889. I created this as a separate
issue as I felt that even in the presence of that race condition, upon restart the project group should still have its
projects. This is probably distinct from the race condition itself.
Comment 4 Milos Kleint 2007-10-23 12:44:35 UTC
a P4 then. I assumed the issue is about the actual deadlock. There shall be no error in the first place.
