[NB 3.2 build 36] The backward compatibility of Java settings is broken in build 36 (and very likely 34 and 35 too). The settings serialized in NB 3.0, NB 3.1, FFJ 3.0 cannot be read in NB 3.2 RC3. NPE is thrown.
I see two potential causes of this bug: either the latest change to Compiler/executor settings (I doubt this, since the change was about defining default services when no specific ones are configured), or it is caused by bug described as #11643, #11676 depending on how exactly did you test it. Or it may be something completely different. FYI - I've customized the Default project using NB 3.1 and opened it with NB 3.2.36 without any problems. Can you please attach the exception stacktrace or at least describe methodics used in your testing ?
