Description sderrick 2007-09-26 00:16:03 UTC
IDE crashes in UBUNTU, 2.6.20 kernel

periodically when I have left the focus of the IDE, say I'm using a terminal window.

Then using the mouse I click in the document view, the IDE crashes, shuts down, My XWindows session terminates and I
have to relogin and restart all my apps.

I have looked for a core dump or log file to provide you with more info but can't find one.

If there is a log or event file that would help narrow this crash down?

The crash is definitely tied to bing in the debugger(GDB).

Doing many different things will cause the crash, sometimes you don't have to be changing focus from another app to the
IDE. Manipulating a set breakpoint is particularly fragile.

from your provided logs it's not clear what really happened. Can you reproduce it or is it a random case. If so, could
you provide thread dump, build version and jdk, you are running on?

Crash no longer occurs in latest build
