NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200709181200) Java: 1.6.0_02; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.6.0_02-b05 System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1251; ru_RU (nb) Steps to reproduce: Open 'Edit Global Filters' dialog. Select any record in 'Defined Filters' table and invoke 'Edit' command with shortcut (Alt-E). Table field is highlighted but input focus is still on 'Edit' button.
When list (table) of currently defined filters has focus, user can edit selected cell directly by typing. However, this approach conflicts with mnemonics which leads to the problem described in this issue - edit button gets focus instead of the table. As an easy fix I've removed mnemonics from the Edit button. There are no conflicts now, editing a filter is started by just typing into the cell when table is focused. When not focused, user can move focus to the table by just few tab traversals. Fixed for Beta2.
Verified in Build 200709301200
There must be a better way to fix this without disabling the mnemonic.
