Description ulfzibis 2007-07-09 17:43:42 UTC
Opening window Task List needs up to 2 minutes, because all known projects are scanned, instead of the marked file or
folder.
Comment 1 ulfzibis 2007-07-09 17:48:57 UTC
Clicking 'Options' on 'Task List Filter' has no effect.
Comment 2 Stanislav Aubrecht 2007-07-09 18:04:43 UTC
sorry, but this is a 'wontfix':

- task list now shows all java errors/warnings which takes more time to scan
- you can switch scope to currently edited file only or to main project and its dependencies
- you can turn some task scanners in task list options on/off

> - you can switch scope to currently edited file only or to main project and its dependencies

... but I can't find how to switch scope to currently edited file/folder.
Can you verify this?
Comment 4 Stanislav Aubrecht 2007-07-10 16:25:53 UTC
there are toggle buttons in task list's toolbar on the left, you can use context menu too. however since the task list
window has been redesigned there's only 'currently edited file' only, you can select an arbitrary folder.
Comment 5 ulfzibis 2007-07-10 19:44:24 UTC
So then I have 4 wishes:
1. Set 'currently edited file' as default, when tasklist window is newly opened
2. Grey out 'Options' button if no types are selected
3. Add button for currently edited package
4. Add button for marked files/folder in the browser

> you can select an arbitrary folder.
How to do this?

you can switch the scope yourself and the task list window will remember your choice next time you open it

> 2. Grey out 'Options' button if no types are selected
already fixed

> 3. Add button for currently edited package
please file a new enhancement request for this

sorry, it's a typo, it should read "you can't select an arbitrary folder"

... but it confuses as to be a bug if the user dosn't see any progress for several minutes, and it's *annoying* too.

Now on RC2 the default is set to main project, and it's really fast. :-)
