Description Milos Kleint 2007-06-21 13:12:51 UTC
current trunk.
I want to search & replace across multiple files in various (many) projects. I don't want to open the all just to make
sure I don't forget one or another.
So I open Favourites and find the root folder and look for Replace.
it's not in the popup of the folder, find UI has no option to do replace, main menu has Replace.. disabled, only Replace
in projects is enabled.

-> usability problem?

You can do replace on a folder - invoke "Replace in Projects" and change the scope to Selection.

Although it is possible to achieve what you want, it is not apparent how to do it. So - yes, it is a usability problem.

There is a reviewed UI spec for NB menus (recent clean up), where 'Replace' action is not included in the context menu.
I believe that this is likely to be changed in post NB 6 releases; the whole NB searching concept should be reconsidered
IMHO. My suggestion is to keep this as RFE P2. IF you feel this is a big usability issue we should solve for NB 6,
please let me know.
