The 6.0m9 release crashes on startup on my Solaris 10 x86 machine.  The error printed is as follows:

Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: No protocol specified

Fontconfig error: Cannot load default config file

This is Solaris issue - for more details see issue 97882.

It could be solved by Sol. patches :
