Description javaiware 2001-03-23 17:18:19 UTC
Hi,

When selecting multiple files in explorer and then do the CVS|add thru a
rightclick, the files containing the description of the files are being
generated, but only for the 1st file a line is added in CVS' entries file.
Therefor a commit on the just added files fails.
This is a major problem when one file in explorer are actually 2 files (.jar
+ .jarContent or .java + .form) as I can not add them to CVS, which is a major
problem at the moment as I need version control.

Iwan

Hello Iwan,
I probably miss something but I can't reproduce it under any circumstances. :-)
Frankly speaking I'm currently using NB3.2 #15 but I don't think this is the
reason. I tried following:
1. CVS FS mounted with connection to pserver using Command-Line Client Support.
2. Created two applets -> [Local]
3. Select both nodes and "CVS|Add" -> [Locally Added, New] with same description
4. "CVS|Commit" -> [Up-to-date, 1.1] again NOT checking "Prompt for input on
each successive file" checkbox. BTW does it matter to you ?
5. I have everything up-to-date so what did you mean ?
Please try it once more with recent build and let us know. To be honest I really
don't consider this bug to be P1 so if you can't provide us with more
information we will have to downgrade the priority or resolve this as invalid.
Thanks a lot for your hard work!

The problem is the build. I'm using 3.2.15 and do not suffer this problem.
Guess it was solved recently and I didn't know as I didn't try.

Thanx,
Iwan
