This Bugzilla instance is a read-only archive of historic NetBeans bug reports. To report a bug in NetBeans please follow the project's instructions for reporting issues.
The instructions, when publishing a plugin, say that module suite should be uploaded as a zip file. I did that and the nbm's don't appear in when I look at the plugin portal's update center. plugin: jVi
Is this still happening?
My plugin consists of two NBM's. As indicated, they are packaged together in a zip as ; and the zip was uploaded to the plugin center. So there is a zip file with a couple of NBM's in it. Something like: /rel/ $ jar -tvf nbvi-1.1.4.zip 331294 Sun Apr 06 13:04:28 PDT 2008 nbvi-1.1.4/com-raelity-jvi.nbm 109790 Sun Apr 06 13:04:28 PDT 2008 nbvi-1.1.4/org-netbeans-modules-jvi.nbm 28537 Sun Apr 06 13:04:28 PDT 2008 nbvi-1.1.4/updates.xml 0 Sun Apr 06 13:04:28 PDT 2008 nbvi-1.1.4/ I have not tried this since I first saw the problem. Is there any reason to believe that the individual NBMs inside the jar file will be properly made available in the update center? The plugin is at http://plugins.netbeans.org/PluginPortal/faces/PluginDetailPage.jsp?pluginid=2802 Because of this problem, because there are additional files a user may want download to patch NetBeans and because of the inability to have different versions of the plugin for different versions of NetBeans I no longer put new releases in the plugin portal. BTW, I would like to keep the plugin page, but remove the .zip file that is there and have the plugin-portal's download button go to the sourceforge download page for this project, see http://www.netbeans.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=108917 .
I think this is working these days; at least I did it for Automatic Projects (though there was also some problem that apparently needed manual correction on the server).
Yes, I think this can be closed now.
