Using installer netbeans-6.0-nightly-200705251200-full-macosx-x86.command and java 1.5.07 from apple After successful install of everything except UML and Ruby, the IDE open without Glassfish or Access Manager configured. You can manuall add the Appserver but the AM is not available at all. This blocks identity functionality. This is a regression from M9
Also the same for Ubuntu linux. It seems that the ide is not picking up the location settings in netbeans.conf but I have verified that the paths are correct. Also, I have verified that the runtimes are installed, they are just not found by the ide.
The issue is very similar to the 104622. The same workaround work for this issue as well - removing quotes in netbeans.conf for AM_CONFIG_FILE and com.sun.aas.installRoot make AppServer and Access Manager visible in the IDE. AS/AM configuration is the same both in M9 and in the current nightly builds. M9 works fine with existing quotes though nighltly build do not work. So, I guess, smth has changed in NetBeans itself. *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 104622 ***
Removing quotes in netbeans.conf for AM_CONFIG_FILE and com.sun.aas.installRoot does not work for me on any *nix. Also removing the "\" before does not help either on Mac, Linux, Solaris.
Tony, please attach the netbeans.conf files : one - just after the installation and another one - after removing \" in AM_CONFIG_FILE and com.sun.aas.installRoot. I`ll attach me files - the first one doesn`t work and the second one works fine. For the clear experiment please delete ~/.netbeans/dev before starting of netbeans.
Created attachment 43003 [details] non-working netbeans configuration file (just after installation)
Created attachment 43004 [details] working netbeans configuration file (removed \" in netbeans_default_options for setting system properties)
Created attachment 43047 [details] Original netbeans.conf
Created attachment 43048 [details] netbeans.conf with \ and " removed
Removing user dir cause the app server to show up in the IDE but still not the Access Manager.
Tony, It seems that you have left extra \ character at the second file after AMConfig.properties
I had missed one last \ at the end of a line. Everything works now.
