Description novakm 2007-05-23 15:26:03 UTC
If you change colors for diff vissualiser in Tools | Options | Diff, it takes
effect only for diff view. The diff sidebar still has its default colors -
green, blue and red.

jpavlicek:
1. should it pick up re-configured diff colors? (diff sidebar and marks in
errorstripe are affected)
1a. if so, what about colors in the background of the original text? They are
currently based on the default colors
Comment 2 Josef Pavlicek 2007-05-29 16:33:54 UTC
Right, the colors are different for "normal" DIFF and for In-line DIFF. We
tuned the in-line diff color especially for editor colors.
We don't suppose to apply some colors settings for in-line DIFF.

Well I think users would expect the effect of change of color even in the diff
sidebar if they change it. But that's maybe just because I would expect that.
Having two sets of colors for the same diff seems weird to me...

Anyway, Verified.

Hi, thanks for your interest. So - unfortunately, we didn't do Usability study
for DIFF, So I would prefer to have this current settings only. When we receive
the ISSUE for IN-line diff settings color we will re-evaluate it.
Thanks
Josef

Issue 134346 is a request for inline diff color settings.
