Description Tamara 2001-03-16 22:45:21 UTC
Pilsen, Build 010312, winNt
-Highlight a package Pack1 in the Explorer View.
-Start an EJB Wizard via File>New, Select EJB->Session (or Entity) Bean from the
"New from Template Wizard"
-Press Next twice to proceed to EJB Components page
-Verify package name: it shows Root of filesystem, instead of Pack1 (the
highlighted one)
It used to work correctly before this build.
I am not able to run my automated EJB validation tests, because I cannot
predict where the new EJB was created, so I cannot verify its components

I logged this bug into Bugtrag, but I got a response from Joe Warzecha, that
this is NetBeans' bug
Comment 1 Jan Zajicek 2001-03-20 17:40:27 UTC
Assigning.
But I try it to reproduce with f.e. JDialog in NB32 #8 and the correct package
was selected. Here it works, so the problem may not be here in core, what do you
think David?
Comment 2 iformanek 2001-03-27 11:26:39 UTC
It is easily reproducible in the current 3.2 builds (e.g. #12):
1. select any package in the explorer
2. click File | New or New icon on the toolbar

the package selected is the root (or the package selected last time the New
From Template wizard was used) instead of the currently selected package
Comment 3 Jan Zajicek 2001-03-28 09:34:14 UTC
confirmed in NB32 clean build #14
Comment 4 Jaroslav Tulach 2001-03-28 09:53:05 UTC
Changed version to 3.2, that is the version we are now releasing.

I am sure that this feature used to work. Either David or Jano changed something
that it does not work anymore. I am assigning this to Jano, if you are not the
right one, please move it to David.
Comment 5 jrojcek 2001-03-28 11:47:24 UTC
My change caused this regression. Target chooser ignores selected folder if new
from template is invoked from menu or toolbar. Will be fixed soon.
Comment 6 Tamara 2001-03-28 19:31:31 UTC
Please, verify the situation when you open the wizard via shortcut CTRL-N.
In this case the wizard picks a wrong package too.
Comment 7 jrojcek 2001-03-30 07:37:37 UTC
Fixed in release32 and dev.
Comment 8 Jan Chalupa 2001-05-05 20:49:08 UTC
Target milestone 3.2
Comment 9 Quality Engineering 2003-07-01 16:29:59 UTC
Resolved for 3.4.x or earlier, no new info since then -> closing.
