AUC request:
============
Module: JMeter Module
AUC Type: Development
AUC Version: 6.0/Milestone 9
AUC Category: Features
Contact: Arseniy Kuznetsov
NB signature required: Yes
Live date: May 8th, 2007
URL:
http://www.netbeans.org/download/nbms/alpha/dev/1.18/org-apache-jmeter-module.nbm
http://www.netbeans.org/download/nbms/alpha/dev/1.18/org-netbeans-modules-profiler-loadgen.nbm

Could you please Roberte sign and publish the modules as soon as possible on
Milestone 9 Update Center for NetBeans 6.0? Thanks a lot!
Comment 1 Jiri Kovalsky 2007-05-09 10:26:19 UTC
Roberte, can you please publish the module as soon as possible? Thanks!
Comment 2 rnovak 2007-05-09 13:27:39 UTC
JMeter modules are staged on Milestone 9 Update Center for NetBeans 6.0
Please, proceed with the download test.
Comment 3 Jiri Kovalsky 2007-05-09 15:06:59 UTC
Roberte, didn't you by accident stage only the main module? Plugin Manager
claims that:

Plugin JMeter Module cannot match its dependencies:
module org.netbeans.modules.loadgenerator/1 > 1.1.2

Thanks for your comment.
Comment 4 rnovak 2007-05-09 17:16:43 UTC
I found out where is the problem - JMeter require Profiler loadgen module
version 1.1.2, but the module available at:
http://www.netbeans.org/download/nbms/alpha/dev/1.18/org-netbeans-modules-profiler-loadgen.nbm
has version 1.1
Comment 5 Jiri Kovalsky 2007-05-10 15:10:07 UTC
You are right, we have published incorrect module(s). Could you please Arseniy
provide us with correct URLs or send us the NBM files directly? Reassigning to
you, thanks!
Comment 6 Karthikeyan Rajeswaran 2007-05-10 19:03:49 UTC
A request for this module for M9 on nbusers forum:
http://www.netbeans.org/servlets/BrowseList?list=nbusers&by=thread&from=791171
Comment 7 J Bachorik 2007-05-11 00:50:32 UTC
Unfortunately, there is a crucial part missing - the load generator framework
itself. It can be found at
http://www.netbeans.org/download/nbms/alpha/dev/1.18/org-netbeans-modules-loadgenerator.nbm
Once you stage this everything should be ok.
Regarding that dependency problem - the JMeter module depends on the
LoadGenerator module version 1.1.2 - and that's what has been reported not as
mistakenly supposed the LoadGenerator<->Profiler bridge.
Comment 8 Jiri Kovalsky 2007-05-11 08:05:47 UTC
Great, thanks for the correct link! So, could you Roberte please remove the
org-netbeans-modules-profiler-loadgen.nbm file from Dev 6.0 Preview Update
Center and replace it by org-netbeans-modules-loadgenerator.nbm file instead?
Thanks!
Comment 9 rnovak 2007-05-11 09:44:29 UTC
Done. Module org-netbeans-modules-loadgenerator.nbm is now staged instead of
org-netbeans-modules-loadgenerator.nbm
Comment 10 Jiri Kovalsky 2007-05-11 10:01:50 UTC
Works fine for me. Please publish the modules to live NetBeans 6.0 Preview
Development Update Center. Thanks!
Comment 11 rnovak 2007-05-11 10:14:06 UTC
Module is live, please double check.
Comment 12 Jiri Kovalsky 2007-05-11 10:34:18 UTC
OK, looks good now. Thanks!
Comment 13 J Bachorik 2007-05-11 16:35:40 UTC
sorry for not being clear enough in the first reply - we will need all the three
modules mentioned:
http://www.netbeans.org/download/nbms/alpha/dev/1.18/org-netbeans-modules-loadgenerator.nbm
- is the load generator framework
http://www.netbeans.org/download/nbms/alpha/dev/1.18/org-apache-jmeter-module.nbm
- is the jmeter engine for the load generator platform
http://www.netbeans.org/download/nbms/alpha/dev/1.18/org-netbeans-modules-profiler-loadgen.nbm
- is the profiler-loadgenerator bridge; without this the loadgenerator
functionality is not available for profiler

could you stage all of them, please?
Comment 14 Jiri Kovalsky 2007-05-11 20:23:45 UTC
OK, one more round. :-) Roberte, once you are free, please publish the
...-loadgen.nbm module as well. Thanks!
Comment 15 rnovak 2007-05-14 16:55:43 UTC
done, please verify
Comment 16 Jaromir Uhrik 2007-05-17 20:37:29 UTC
Profiler Bridge module is not uploaded there (I don't see it on my Mac OS X in
M9 build). According to the previous comments it should be there.
Comment 17 rnovak 2007-07-17 14:05:45 UTC
Seems to be fixed on recent Dev UC.
Comment 18 Jaromir Uhrik 2007-07-26 10:02:25 UTC
Product Version: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 200707260000)
Java: 1.5.0_07; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.5.0_07-87
System: Mac OS X version 10.4.10 running on i386; MacRoman; en_US (nb)

There are following problems:
1)There are plugins JMeter Module(v. 1.5.1), Load Generator(v. 1.1.3) and Profiler Bridge(v. 1.1). Profiler Bridge
should be in version 1.2 there according to the task.
2)I got the following NPE after the installation of all thre plugins together - see attached messages.log

Comment 20 Jaromir Uhrik 2007-08-02 13:15:13 UTC
Roberte, the problem from the last week is still there - used 6.0 dev build #200708020000.
Comment 21 rnovak 2007-08-02 15:02:56 UTC
It seems I fixed it now, please, double check.
Comment 22 Jaromir Uhrik 2007-08-02 16:00:04 UTC
Module version of Profiler Bridge is correctly 1.2 now. In M9 there is no problem with installation but in trunk build
there appears NPE after the installation (the log is the same as I attached last week).
Comment 23 Jaromir Uhrik 2007-09-20 14:00:24 UTC
I am not sure whether this issue is still valid because the content of update center is pretty different in trunk.
Should this plugin be still visible in Update Center for trunk?
Comment 24 J Bachorik 2007-09-20 14:13:47 UTC
I would suggest marking this issue as either fixed or invalid since the structure of modules for loadgenerator support
has changed slightly - now there is the JMeter Kit module which is visible on AU. The JMeter module can not be made
visible because it is an eager module and they are not shown in plugin manager by default
Comment 25 Jaromir Uhrik 2007-09-20 15:45:09 UTC
Yardus, thanks for your reply. I am making this issue as INVALID because it is currently not reproducible with new auc
content.
Comment 26 rnovak 2007-09-20 17:01:23 UTC
Just additional info - JMeter is available on "Standard Features" UC that is automatically updated with every successful
build on deadlock.
Comment 27 Jaromir Uhrik 2007-09-27 13:03:02 UTC
Verified.
