The Accelerator string is not clear in the "Set Action..." dialog. If you press
alt (or control or shift), the string reads "alt pressed ALT". The "ALT"
shouldn't probably be there as it looks alt was pressed twice (following logic
that when you press alt + <letter>, there is written "alt pressed <letter>").
  In short the special keys shouldn't be probably appended to the end of string.

The Accelerator part of the dialog has been redesigned slightly since this issue was reported => marking as fixed 
because there are checkboxes instead of one string label by now.
