Original status: 1-Dispatched; Suggested Status: NEW Original Target Release: mako_dev; Suggested Target Milestone : Dev Original submitter: kfrank Description: 6292531 on add locale button on portlet dep desriptor window closed as not a bug and explained how to use it and other steps needed to be done to add a locale. But the design of this seems counter to other UI seen in the product 1. usually, pressing a button, esp with the 3 dots ... means another window will appear to help one do what the button says 2. usually a dropdown item is not to be filled in, as this one is, but contains a list of choices. Can this be run by HIE for their comments for next release ? And for thresher, can some explanatory text be put on the window that tells that besides typing in the locale, and then pressing add locale, that some other things need to be done ? (or is this documented in javahelp or can it be - it does not seem like an intuitive thing as for being in a UI). As a separate question, and I can file other issue on this if applicable, if running in other locale, should the dropdown be populated with en anyway, as it is now ? Evaluation: I aggree, that's not perfect. But I don't want to change the UI now. We should probably think about that again for Mako. Hi Marco, Becky has been working on the portlet help topics.
