the nodes currently do network access on the AWT thread.  this can result in
performance issues and deadlocks (especially if the server is suspended at a bp)

testing to see if the server is stopped at a BP is not correct 100% of the time.

please close this issue if you forgot to earlier.  If this issue is still open,
please change the target milestone to reflect the current commitment.

this will probably be more critical, if we need to redo these nodes for the v3 plugin anyway...

This needs to be done for 7.0. I need to spend time in updating the runtime tree to perform better.
I will have cycles for this only in early/mid Jan.
