Possible enhancement, commenters said:

I'm not sure I'm in love with it being tied to the "main project" concept - I
think I'd actually prefer a task list that showed problems of whatever project
the file I'm currently editing belongs to, with problems in the current file
sorted to the top.  And/or give me a combo box with the list of currently open
projects and an All option.  Or maybe the right model is such a combo box with
the options:
All Open Projects
Current File's Project
Project A
Project B
...

For all other UI pieces that are associated with projects, we provide a way of
using them without the main project set - this would be the first thing that
forces me to change the main project all the time - I'm not sure I like that
