The current tests just do default domain registration.

we should extend this to test the other types of registration (at least local
non-default and created personal domains)

We may want to use a personal domain for the test execution, to eliminate name
conflicts, etc.

The v2 plugin test base is not worth extending at this point.  The v3 plugin has no tests to cover this... and it should.
