Will investigate for 4.2. Not difficult, but UI change, so should be probably fixed before feature freeze. Now that I am thinking about it, it may also be useful to have support for downloading *databases*, not just drivers. I suppose if there was a web page with databases, we could link to it. It could be useful especially for small embeddable databases such as Derby or SQLite, which are easy to install and start with. "Bigger" databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL aren't usually so easy to install or they require a bit of configuration, it depends on the database. In the future we might even consider writing integration modules for these databases. They would contain the database, the JDBC driver, and could automatically add the driver and a database connection to the Database Explorer. Anyway, the support for downloading drivers is now more important IMO. TM 5.0 -> TBD Reassigned to new owner. |
