This is as designed, you can click the right part of the Profile button (the dropdown arrow) to open a menu and change profiling settings while profiling. Me too, watching the button initially thought that it was a bug. After a while I realized that it was the desired behavior but IMHO this behavior causes a small usability issue. At first glance it is not very clear that the button is only "half-disabled" and it is not immediate to understand that to activate the button you should click exactly on the not-grayed part of it (and choose a profiler). I suggest to replace the current "button + dropdownmenu" with a normal button and to show the available profile buttons (the ones that currently are into the dropdown menu) directly into the toolbar. |
Created attachment 153003 [details] profiler button half way shadowed This is a minor issue. Button "Profile" is only half way shadowed when profiling session is running.
